SOLAR PANEL BRACKET
1.Mounting Brackets
Roof Mount Brackets: Used to attach the solar panels to the roof. These brackets come in various designs (flush mount, tilt mount, etc.) depending on the roof type and panel orientation.
Ground Mount Brackets: For solar panel arrays installed on the ground. They are typically heavier-duty than roof mounts and designed for stability in outdoor environments.
2.Rails
These are horizontal bars that the solar panels attach to.The brackets and rails work together to form a strong frame for the solar array.
Rails are often made of aluminum due to its light weight and resistance to corrosion.
3.End Clamps
These are used to secure the solar panels at the ends of the rail system. They ensure that the panels are tightly held in place.
End Clamps can be adjustable or fixed, depending on the type of system.
4.Mid Clamps
Mid clamps are used to secure solar panels along the middle of the rail, providing support and preventing shifting. These clamps help maintain the panel’s integrity and are generally more adjustable to accommodate different panel thicknesses.
5.L-Foot
An L-foot is a piece of hardware used to attach the rails to the roof mounting system (for example,to a rafter or a roof hook). The L-foot is generally used in roof-mounted solar installations and provides a secure connection between the rails and the roof.
6.Roof Hooks
These are used for attaching the mounting system to the roof structure. They are especially important for tile or metal roof installations and ensure the system is stable and secure.
Roof hooks come in various designs, depending on the roofing material.
7.Flashing
Flashing is used around roof penetration points to prevent water leakage where roof hooks or mounts are installed.
Flashing is a critical component to protect the roof from water damage and ensure long-term system reliability.
8.Bolts,Nuts,and Washers
These are the fasteners that hold the mounting system together.Stainless steel is commonly used due to its resistance to corrosion.
Bolts are used to attach the brackets to the rails, nuts secure the bolts in place, and washers help distribute the load and prevent damage to the surfaces.
9.Grounding Equipment
Grounding lugs or grounding clips are included to ensure that the solar system is safely grounded, protecting the installation from electrical surges and lightning strikes.
Proper grounding is crucial for the safety and performance of a solar energy system.
10.Cable Management Clips
These clips help organize and secure cables running from the solar panels to the inverter and other components.Keeping cables organized prevents damage and makes the system more aesthetically pleasing.
11.Tilt Legs (for Tilted Mounting)
If the solar system is designed to be tilted to a specific angle (to optimize sunlight capture),tilt legs will be included in the kit. These adjustable legs allow the panels to be mounted at an ideal angle, which varies depending on geographic location and panel orientation.
12.Sealants
Some kits may include roof sealants to prevent water leakage around the mount points, further protecting the roof.
13.Installation Instructions/Manuals
A detailed installation manual that outlines how to properly assemble and install the solar system mounting bracket and accessories is typically included.
